SailorMD1, LLC is an A.S.A. (American Sailing Association) compliant training and recreational marine services company founded by Captain Bill. He is an A.S.A. Advanced Coastal Cruising, Docking, and Catamaran Instructor. He holds merchant marine accreditation as a 25-ton Master Coast Guard Captain, near coastal. Captain Bill is a lifelong sailing instructor who was a paid trainer beginning as a 19-year-old at summer camp. Captain Bill’s work background also consists of extensive teaching and training experience. With over 20,000 sea miles of experience across North America, the Caribbean, and Europe. He has a broad variety of sailing experience.

Captain Bill’s primary interest is to educate and train people to participate in the great sport of sailing. And, to provide enjoyable, quality instruction for students to pass A.S.A. certifications.

While our training conforms to ASA standards, SailorMD1 is not a chartered ASA school. Therefore, we can offer personalized instruction develop or refresh your “Skipper” skill set; however, not issue an ASA certification sticker.
